Are you currently working within the Australian beef or lamb industry and looking for your next challenge?

We're partnering with a leading Australian food and retail organisation to appoint a Procurement Category Specialist focused on the Red Meat category. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing commercial team where you'll play a key role in procurement planning, supplier engagement, market analysis and category performance.

This position will suit someone who understands the Australian red meat market and enjoys working in a fast-paced commercial environment where data, market intelligence and decision-making go hand in hand.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop procurement and purchasing plans aligned with business demand and supply requirements
• Analyse market conditions, pricing trends and supply opportunities across the red meat sector
• Support category performance through commercial analysis and strategic sourcing initiatives
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and key internal stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency and supply outcomes
• Monitor industry developments and provide market insights to support business decisions
• Support tender processes, supplier negotiations and procurement activities

About You

• Mandatory Experience within the Australian red meat industry, ideally across beef and/or lamb
• Background in procurement, category management, buying, trading, supply planning or commercial operations
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability
• The ability to interpret market data and translate insights into action
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
• A proactive and solutions-focused mindset
